Golf Farm House

The House…

The moment you enter the house you are aware of space, tranquility and warmth. Almost every window has an island view that invites you to stop and gaze awhile before venturing outside to explore the surroundings.

Golf Farm House provides quality accommodation for up to eight people and, as the name suggests, is adjacent to the islands’ nine-hole golf course. The house is situated approximately 1 mile from Hugh Town which is a 20 minute walk away along a scenic coastal path. Alternatively, taxis are available for those who prefer not to walk.

This recently built 'family home' has been carefully crafted to allow the visitor total relaxation in modern and graceful surroundings. With four good sized bedrooms, the house can accommodate up to eight people. Three of the bedrooms are ensuite with the fourth sharing the facilities of the adjacent bedroom. Two of the bedrooms have space for a cot. Beds are made up and each room has a hair dryer and a radio alarm clock. Bath towels and beach towels are provided.

With underfloor heating throughout and a modern built in gas fire in the sitting room, winter spring or autumn breaks are a comfort.

Golf Farm House has been awarded a Four Star rating by Visit Britain.  The house is a no-smoking establishment and we regret we are unable to accept pets.

The Garden…

Garden/Deck/Views

The extensive garden and decked patio areas give a choice of wonderful panoramic views from the front or a more sheltered aspect from the rear of the house. A gas barbeque is conveniently situated on the decking outside the dining room and the large open lawns provide an ideal playing area for children. Terracing below the lawn leads to a more natural area which in early summer, has an abundance of beautiful purple foxgloves and pink campion. A more sheltered decked area is found at the rear of the house, capturing the early morning sunshine – perfect for sitting to enjoy an early bird al fresco breakfast. Across the private driveway is a further lawned area with a washing line.
